You must be aware of hobbies like philately (stamp collection) and bee keeping. I used to fly model planes, that was a great deal of fun, and my brother used to shoot model rockets. These are all common hobbies, but there is one more that we will discuss here, and that is coin collection. This is a popular hobby, as a matter of fact, and is being sported by many people all across the world.

People like to collect coins coming from different times in history from different parts of the world. In a private collection, many coins cannot be used directly as currency, but oftentimes can be auctioned off to other collectors for a profit. Usually, these coins depict unique characteristics in terms of material, size, shape, contour or theme.
