JuvedermTM contains the highest concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) currently available. After a single anti-aging treatment of JuvedermTM, clinical studies revealed that the majority of patients sustained results for up to six months or longer. JuvedermTM flows smoothly into the skin, lifting and filling the wrinkle. Patients report that it feels soft and natural like their own skin.

There are three levels of the formulation, which provide anti-aging solutions for deep folds and lines, moderate wrinkling and the fine lines around the lips and eyes. These include JuvedermTM 24HV, a formulation for contouring and volumizing facial wrinkles and folds; JuvedermTM 30HV, a higher concentrated formulation for volumizing and correction of deeper folds and wrinkles; and JuvedermTM 30, for subtle correction of fine facial wrinkles and folds.

JuvedermTM reportedly, when used as a non-surgical cosmetic procedure, rolls back the years by softening and smoothing lines and folds, restoring lip borders and lip body loss and provides volume replacement to the cheeks, with less risk of lumps that are often associated with other dermal fillers.


There is a recent development in the use of Botox injections as alternative medicine as well. This new study proves that Botox can be used not only for anti-aging purposes, but also to treat migraine headaches. Botox® treatment combined with surgery has reduced frequency and duration by 92% in clinical studies. About 100 patients taking part in a U.S. study were injected with Botox® to find out which muscles in the forehead, temples, face and back of the head triggered their disabling headaches. The offending muscles were then surgically removed in the effort to ease the severe pain caused by migraines. Prior to this treatment the migraine sufferers missed on average 4.4 days of work a month. After the operation, the patients missed just 1.2 days of work a month. The operation was said to completely alleviate migraines in 35% of the patients.
