A look at how leadership development could be your saviour. Whether you're a manager at work or a leader of some organization, getting people to do what you want and need, can often seem like a daunting task. But it doesn't have to be. Leadership and teamwork often go hand in hand. Teamwork requires leadership with vision of a clear goal, a flow of strong communication and the inspiration and drive to get the job done. One of my favorite childrens stories is the Three Little Pigs. In the story, the big bad wolf gets two easy meals by blowing down the pigs houses made of straw and sticks. When he gets to the third pigs house made of brick, though, he hyperventilates trying to blow down the house. So much for a third meal of the other white meat. Like many of my clients, I am always looking for ways to speed things up - to produce more results with the same or even fewer resources. We probably agree on this. The key is certainly not about working harder; it may not even be about working smarter. But there are definitely ideas which work, and those ideas need to be uncovered.
