The storm lasted only a few minutes, but the devastation left from the tornado took my breath away. Thankfully my children and I were alright, but in the midst of the storm my wife had become separated from us. Time passed slowly over the next day as he waited to see if anyone would notice what he had done. His only thoughts were what would happen to him when they found out about the murder. The feelings of power that he had once felt were now changing into the fear of retribution. My eyes suddenly fell upon a beautiful woman through the parted curtains of a small house not far from my home. The shape of her breast and the curve of her hips sent feelings quickly into my body filling me with desire. I wanted her, now! Without any hesitation my son threw an entire glass of soda on my new wife while we were waiting for food in a restaurant. In a flash, what was going to be a fun time with dinner and a movie, turned into whom did I love more, my eleven year old son or my new wife. My fears mounted as each day passed with yet another set of tests declaring that the cancer is still present. Relatives I hadn't seen for years began parading into my hospital room. They're expressions reflected concern mixed with deathbed goodbyes. I was less than two years old when I walked right out of our Naval issued housing apartment and right into the deep end of the pool that was close to our home. My head plunged under the water and I gasped for air while pleading for help. The flames from the forest fire twirled creating a funnel that took the form of a fiery tornado that lashed out furiously hurdling huge balls of fire that ignited grasses, trees and every house that was in the mist of the fire. The intensity of the heat boiled the water right out of the luxury pools of the rich and the tiny streams that ran along the path of the forest fire. The coming apostasy (falling away) of the church is for some of us the most dreaded prophecy the Bible predicts. It may look like the world would be better off with John Lennon’s world with no religions but in fact that will be the world’s worst nightmare. The evolutionary model is enjoying the limelight only because it has gained a momentum that is hard to put the brakes on. Anyone who dares to think for themselves may not only put the brakes on but may indeed want to just abandon the vehicle altogether. Here’s why 1 | ||
