One of the best ways to burn fat and get in shape is by cross training. Cross training involves using more than one mode of exercise. An example would be to swim, ride a bike and walk. With so much attention being given to losing weight and getting into shape, it's hard to resist not buying all of the equipment being offered in the commercials that you see.
