Christmas, or The Lords Birth, is a Christian commemoration day celebrated on the 25th of December (in the Gregorian calendar) or the 7th of January (in the Julian calendar) every year. It belongs to the twelve Lordly Commemorations (royal church festivals) of the Byzantine Churches, the third big commemoration after Easter and Pentecost. Nowadays most of the people all over the world either do not know even where Romania lies, or they have heard many terrible things about this country. For example, that Romanians sent to death their president Ceausescu, that their gypsies commit many crimes wherever they go or that Romania is so under developed that they seem to travel back to the past century. Romanian cultural differences are not a recent issue. Romania was divided in the past in counties - each of them wants to prove their superiority.
